March 2009 News from Pastor Yatta Samura in Freetown

Dear Sierra Leone supporters,

The visit from the UK last December was indeed an encouragement to the Team here in Sierra Leone. I was in Kono Last week. And people were expressing their appreciation for your interest in the ministry

The School building in Meami has almost completed. It is beautiful.

St. Andrews School has become bigger than was expected. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in his eyes. Thank you very much for the support, for the pastors, teachers and sports life. We are happy and excited.

On Sunday when we are going to Church other people were stealing fuel Refinery. A fire blazed and killed over 7 and many are still in the hospital. This is a complete sign of poverty and risking their own lives. A lot of Families are today mourning. We are praying and believing God to take away those calamities from our Nation. We are believing God for a new age blessing prosperity and the grace of God upon our lives.

Stay Blessed

Yatta Samura

March 2009 News from Pastor James Maccarthy in Koidu

Dear Sierra Leone supporters,

Brethren from the C3 Mission, Kono Branch, Sierra Leone send their hearty greetings to you.

We very much appreciate your timely visit to Sierra Leone and your very quick response to the pastors and teachers’ salary issue. Thanking you all for your brotherly and sisterly gestures.

Please to inform you that the government has handed over to us the school building at Maima. In addition to this, the government has supplied us over one thousand different text books for all the classes and has well furnished all the three classrooms with benches, desks, chairs, and tables. Glory be to God.

However, we are faced with a big challenge which I believe the good Lord will take us through. Our Sunday services are often interrupted by the Chiefdom authorities whose building we are using to hold our service. This has adversely told on our church growth. At the last meeting, the Church unanimously agreed that we at least construct a temporary tarpaulin roof whilst trusting God for the completion of the building at His own appointed time. Again, we also agree to make a rough estimate of the completion of the wall and roofing to see which way to take in order to avoid much expenditure.

We are counting on you in order to contain our membership.

Rough estimate for the completion of the wall and permanent roof runs to Le 26,500,000. (about £6,600)

Rough estimate for the temporary roof amount to Le 4,500,000 (about £1,100)

Thanks and God be with you all.

Remain bless,

Pastor Maccarthy.
