DEAR FRIENDS OF C3MSL
Greetings to all in Jesus’ name!
We are very grateful to God for successfully taking us through another year. The journey in ministry has been challenging, but God has proved himself faithful to us through out. He has continuously supplied our needs and strengthened us whenever we are down and lonely. He is growing and expanding the mission work in Sierra Leone as more churches are established in the mission and many lives are born again in the Kingdom of God.
The opportunity to give underprivileged children a chance to be educated though the partnership of St. Andrews, Oxford, UK has been a great blessing and privilege. It has been so wonderful to see the joy and gladness of the little children and their parents and leaders because of education given them by the church.
We look forward to a 2005 of continues church growth, educational opportunities for children and partnership. We are confident that God who has started the good work in us will carry it on to completion in JESUS’ NAME!!
NOVEMBER – DECEMBER 04 – IN RETROSPECT
We are grateful to God for…
- The opening of the St. Andrews Meama Primary School. This was a unique occasion graced by government officials and community leaders. We were particular happy to see Mr. Richard Bayfield who ably represented the St. Andrews Church, Oxford. He brought greetings from the church in Oxford and shared gifts with the teachers and pastors of the church. The importance of the school in the community was underscore by the council leader who pointed out that the school was the first and only primary school in the village. He stressed how before now children walked miles away to the nearest school but now all this has ended. Praise God for St Andrews Oxford responding to the ‘Macedonian call’. He was glad that it was the church that has done this noble task, hence truly demonstrating the love of God to his people.
- The commencement of payment of salaries for the faithful and committed teachers at the St. Andrew primary School. Again this was possible through the kind giving of friends at Oxford. The teachers are highly appreciative of this. To them they are being paid by whom from ‘over the seas’ to help them teach their children. May God bless you all richly for this kind help.
- The conduct of the Mission 5th Annual National Convention, held from the 18th – 21st November 2004 at Koidu Town, Kono district Sierra Leone. This is the time when all the churches of the mission come together for Prayer, Fellowship and Teaching. During the time of fellowship, there is a meeting of the church leadership where report of the development of the churches in the past year is given. There was also time of musical and quiz competition and football match. Mr. Richard Bayfield representative from St. Andrews, Oxford, was the guest of honour at the convention. He shared greetings form the brethren in Oxford and witnessed the church leadership meeting. At this convention, two churches were officially into membership of the Mission.
LOOKING AHEAD…2005…PRAY WITH US…
- CONVENTION 2005 – The date for the convention this year is the 16th – 20th November 2005. The theme is .. We look forward to Andrew and Team from Oxford to conduct some very important training in sports and church leadership and management Andrew is also expected to be our special guest and guest of the Meama village. We look forward to a great time of fellowship and learning. Two long serving leaders of the mission now going through the ordination process, shall be ordained at the convention.
- FOR GOD’S FINANCIAL PROVISION - The ministry leadership wishes to have at least two full time staff, an Administrator and a Ministry Director to supervise the day to day operations of the ministry, one in Freetown and another in Kono. The ministry is also seeking funding to begin to pay regular allowance for its pastors who are working so hard in Freetown.
- FOR THE MISSION STRATEGIC PLANNING – Representative from all the mission churches and the school will be coming together for a three-day workshop to come up with a three-year plan for the mission. Here we hope to come up with a vision, mission, goal and strategy for the mission for the next three years (2005-2008). We look forward to having an input to this plan form St. Andrews, Oxford and friends.
- FOR ST. ANDREWS MEAMA PRIMARY SCHOOL – For God’s sustainability of the school and provision for the addition of three classrooms and furniture and an additional teacher.
- FOR CHURCH PLANTING – The mission is to embark on planting churches in Makini, northern Sierra Leone. We need God’s guidance and provision. The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few.

- INTERNSHIP AT ST. ANDREWS – The Mission look forward this year to an internship for one of its leaders so as to enable him learn from the friends at Oxford.
